Team  Monticello,

As we move forward into the 2025–26 school year, we’re not just riding,  we’re pedaling full speed ahead with purpose, pride, and positivity! Monticello is a place where amazing things happen every day, and that’s because of YOU, our incredible parents, dedicated teachers, and hardworking staff.

This year, I’m excited to connect with each of you in a meaningful and positive way. Whether it’s at drop off, a school event, or a quick chat in the hallway, I truly believe strong relationships help our school thrive. So don’t be surprised if I pop into your conversations with a smile and a high five!

We also have a new face joining our leadership team.  Please join me in giving a big Monticello welcome to Ms. Sara Costner, our new assistant principal! Mrs. Costner brings a wealth of experience from Dayton Public Schools, where she served as an assistant principal. Before that, she supported students as both a teacher and school counselor in Trotwood. She’s passionate about kids, believes in teamwork, and is already all in with our Warrior spirit. We’re lucky to have her!

Let’s keep building on the momentum of all the great things already happening here at Monticello. This is going to be a fantastic year  full of learning, laughter, and growing together.

Here’s to a strong start and an even stronger school community!
